This policy explains what personal data Anvyl collects, why, and your rights over it — covering both the pre-launch waitlist and the Anvyl app. We keep data collection to what the product needs, and we don't sell your data.
Anvyl is operated by Anvyl.Fit ("we", "us"), an independent developer in the United Kingdom, and is the data controller for the data described here. For any privacy question or request, contact hello@anvyl.fit.
When you join the waitlist: your email address, your main goal and price reaction (if you choose them), the date/time you signed up, and a basic traffic source tag (e.g. which campaign or site referred you). No name, no payment details.
When you use the app:
| Account | Email address and an encrypted password (authentication). |
| Profile | Sex, date of birth/age, height, weight, activity level, goal, training experience and available equipment. |
| Health information | Injuries and dietary restrictions you tell the coach in your own words, and the food and workouts you log. This is health-related data (a special category under UK GDPR). |
| Generated data | Your calculated calorie/macro targets, streak, achievements, and any AI-generated plans. |
| Subscription | Your entitlement status (free / trial / Pro). Payment is handled by the app stores — we never see your card details. |
| Technical | Basic diagnostics needed to run and debug the service, including crash and error reports. If the app crashes or hits an error, we receive the error details, your device model, OS version and app version, plus your account's random ID number and a short trail of recent app activity (such as which screens you opened and which requests were made) to help us reproduce the fault. These reports are configured to exclude your email address and your health information — they are about the fault, not about you. |
We don't sell or rent your data. We use a small number of trusted processors to run the service on our behalf:
Our Sentry crash-reporting data is stored in the European Union. Some other processors (notably Anthropic and Vercel) are in the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
We keep your app data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase your profile, logs, plans, streak and achievements. Waitlist details are kept until Anvyl launches and you've had the chance to take up founding access, or until you unsubscribe.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. In the app you can delete everything yourself via Delete my account, or email us. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Your session credentials are held in your device's secure storage, data is protected in transit, and our database enforces per-user access controls so one account can't read another's data.
Anvyl isn't intended for children under 16. If you're under 18 we ask that a parent or guardian is involved and that you speak to a doctor before changing how you eat or train.
If we make material changes we'll update this page and the "last updated" date, and where appropriate notify you in the app or by email.
